What is a store manager responsible for: - APPLICATION LINK

  • Manages employees and sets individual goals that link to departmental priorities. Coaches staff, supports development, makes hiring decisions, and drives performance management, recognition and rewards.
  • Manages all aspects of a single Medium to Large store.
  • Manages financial budget including labor costs and overall expenses
  • Develops strategies to maximize role of store within District (look beyond single store to district impact).
  • Manages communication and delivery of rewards and recognition for store management team.
  • Deliver a premium consumer and employee experience and implement/execute global and regional programs to drive business results.

What is an assistant store manager responsible for: - APPLICATION LINK

  • Plans the work of employees with a daily or short term focus. Supervises employees and sets individual goals. Coaches staff, supports development and provides significant input into hiring decisions, performance management recognition and rewards.
  • Assists Store Manager by managing one or more of the store functions (sales, merchandising, operations, accounting, etc.) or by managing a particular floor/business in a large volume store.
  • Performs all store management functions in absence of Store Manager
  • May have direct supervision of Department Managers and/or Customer Service
  • Prepares statistical and narrative reports of store activities

What is a department manager responsible for: - APPLICATION LINK

  • Provides a strong sales floor presence--sets the standard for superior service by directly supporting sales and closely monitoring floor activities to ensure execution and delivery of the premium consumer experience. Manage all daily activities in a specific area of the store
  • Executes and maintains visual merchandising and selling floor standards.
  • Communicate promotional event information to maximize results of each event.
  • Identify merchandise issues and opportunities based on selling and customer feedback.
  • Supervise, train, and develop associates within designated area.
  • Utilize advanced customer service skills, sales techniques, and product knowledge to connect consumer to the right product. Build a bond between consumer and brand.
