Corporate Affairs Manager (m/f)

support HoF in elaborating and implementing the Government and Regulatory Affairs strategy and plans by leading the development and implementation of campaign and engagement plans to communicate company positions on various regulatory issues to external stakeholders
contribute to the development of a long-term and comprehensive government and regulatory affairs strategy that supports the evolution of the Company’s commercial activities (manufacturing and tobacco leaf processing) and long-term sustainability
identify regulatory threats then develop regulatory positions to drive effective engagement with elected government officials, bureaucrats, representatives from other government institutions, and key third-party influencers
drive the development and execution of strategies, initiatives, and plans to address current and future regulatory issues, with input from relevant divisions/functions
lead the development and implementation of campaign and engagement plans that will contribute to the company’s commercial imperatives short & long term
communicate company positions effectively on various regulatory issues to external stakeholders
lead the development of advocacy materials, government submissions, and official written correspondences and responses
develop integrated campaign plans mobilizing external stakeholders, industry partners (local and global), media, and employees to advocate preferred regulatory solutions
monitor, report, and communicate any developments in regulatory, legislative, or political environments to the business and make appropriate recommendations to the leadership team
identify and build relationships with key external stakeholders (government, NGOs, public health, community) to support the achievement of preferred regulatory and business outcomes
Sound knowledge of local politics, customs, other local practices
Higher degree in business studies and /or social science with with focus on legal affairs or communication
Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing regulatory affairs in a highly regulated insdustry
Business partnership management and multi-functional skills
Political understanding and legal compliance
Awareness of public environment and key stakeholders
Effective presentations skills
Ability to communicate fluently and forcefully with media. High sense of diplomacy
Ability to establish good rapport with the key government officials. Regular access to them is essential in creating "favourable conditions for the Company" s operations
Ability to react quickly to unforeseen circumstances.
Fluency in English, Croatian
Active use of MS Office tools
