We are looking for a junior (2+ years) system administrator for our IT & technical support department, willing to soak up the knowledge like a sponge... That’s all.

Junior System Administrator (m/f)

Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring software and hardware
  • Managing network servers and technology tools
  • Setting up accounts and workstations
  • Monitoring performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshooting issues and outages
  • Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Upgrading systems with new releases and models
  • Building an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
  • Helping technical support department with incident tickets

Requirements

  • Proven 2+ years’ experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Basic knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to create scripts in Python
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BSc/B.A. in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline;
  • Excellent level of English (written and spoken)

Considered an advantage

  • MTCNA certification
  • Knowledge of additional language (French, German, Spanish, …)
