We are looking for our own Jony Ive from Apple. If you can transform words such as: incredibly, light, durable, compelling, truly, personal, timeless, refine, object, etc. to ‘real life’ products – then you are a perfect product designer for us.

Product Designer (m/f)

Responsibilities

  • Research of the following industries: outdoor furniture, DOOH industry, smart city industry, etc.; for 30+ global markets
  • Design thinking, ideation and sketching
  • Involvement in all processes from product concept to final product, including following: research, product design development, CAD, CAM, prototype testing, manufacturing, assembly and feedback.
  • 2D/3D rendering
  • Creating illustrations and visualizations
  • Creating mock-ups
  • Working closely with engineering, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and the management
  • Upon completion, providing a comprehensive project summary: schedule, cost, resources, efficiency, productivity, etc.

Requirements

  • Design thinking and conceptual innovation
  • High level of creativity and scenario imagination
  • Eye for details
  • Outstanding sketching and drawing techniques
  • Excellent understanding of forms and 3D shapes
  • Fluent verbal & written communication in English
  • Technical knowledge & understanding of production processes
  • Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Alias, Solid Works, PowerPoint)

Considered an advantage

  • Basic knowledge of electronics (e.g. PCB, PV modules, battery packs, …)
  • Experience of designing outdoor furniture or Smart City solutions
  • Experience of designing web applications
