Traffic

Croatia has well developed infrastructure:

Major airports are based in Zagreb, Zadar, Split, Rijeka, Pula, Osijek, Dubrovnik and on the islands Mali Lošinj i Brač. There are many airfields too.

Besides highways, traveling is possible by state, county and local roads or rail (timetable and railway station list). ). In major cities it is possible to use public and intercity transport (Bus station Zagreb).

Education

There are more than 800 kindergartens in Croatia. Applications for kindergarten are gathered during month of May for the next year (from September 1st till August 31st). For the list of kindergartens click on website of Ministry of Science and Education.

Child attends kindergarten closest to a place of residence. Price of regular program amounts between 1500 to 2500 HRK per month and varies from public to private kindergartens (participation for public kindergarten costs up to 550 HRK).

Elementary school education is necessarily in Croatia. Child can attend public or private school. Applications for elementary school are gathered during month of May. For more information about high school click here.

Inhabitancy

Foreign citizens can buy real estate in Croatia under prescribed conditions.

It is possible to rent a house or an apartment. Rent expenses depend on region and county. In major cities rent expenses are higher.

If you want to rent an apartment from 20 to 80 m2, average price is between 200 and 600 EUR (real estate offer: GoHome, Njuškalo, Crozilla itd.).

Some employers offer accommodation or help in finding accommodation for workers, especially during touristic season.
