Accountant (m/f)

Opis posla

We're looking for an experienced Accountant for a full-time role in the Planning and Financial Controlling department in our office in Zagreb.

In this role, you will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements in line with the Croatian GAAP, doing bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits.

Responsibilities:
- Quality control of primary documents in accordance with the requirements of Croatian accounting and tax legislation
- Control over accounting transactions in the accounting system, review of calculations of accounting adjustments, manage correctness of the monthly closing in the accounting system
- Participation in the process of preparation of the financial statements and tax reports of the company, as well as supporting external and internal audits
- Cooperation both with consultants who provide accounting services and with the internal accounting service
- Support analysis of accounting information during the preparation of forecasts and budgets

Uvjeti

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Economics/Finance
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role in a Croatian company
- Excellent knowledge of Croatian accounting and tax legislation (IFRS and Croatian GAAP)
- At least B2 English (upper intermediate)
- Tools: Proficient in MS Office and SAP
- Meeting strict deadlines
- Willingness to learn
- Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills
- Accuracy and being detail-oriented

Would be an advantage:
- ACCA/CPA/DipIFR or other certificates
- Previous employment in accounting in a commodity trading business
- Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV or 1C
- Being Ukrainian- or Russian-speaking

There is a 3-month probation period after which the contract will be indefinite.
