Legal Counsel (m/f)

Opis posla

We're looking for an experienced Legal Counsel for a full-time role in the Legal Department in our office in Zagreb.

This role involves establishing best practices in the negotiation and purchase of commodity contracts. Your main task would be to work with our front office to establish and advise them when making deals with new counterparties.

Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate sale and purchase contracts in commodities (electricity, natural gas) (EFET/ISDA/PPA/GO, etc.)
- Transaction structuring in different jurisdictions (EU/non-EU)
- Support the licensing procedures for trading activities in EU jurisdictions
- Provide internal consultations on legal matters related to the company's operations
- Analyze the inquiries of regulatory authorities and prepare legal advice
- Coordinate the work of external consultants
- Manage joint venture projects

Uvjeti

Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience as an in-house Legal Counsel for an energy commodity trading company
- At least a C1 level of English
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law
- Ability to work with contracts for the purchase and sale of energy products, financial derivatives contracts, etc.
- Deep Knowledge of EU energy law, standardized framework contracts in commodity trading (EFET/ISDA), EFET`s legal opinions
- Ability to negotiate with counterparties
- Understanding of commodity trading at EU energy markets
