Actuary - Associate (m/f)
A career within Actuarial Services, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute general insurance audit, advice and consulting services to insurance company clients such as insurers, banks, regulators, and third-party administrators. You’ll help the audit team in auditing insurance company clients by assisting in technical provisions calculation and performing other audit procedures. You’ll also provide advice covering solvency, risk management, IFRS 17 matters, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. Simply put, you would help analyse the impact that new regulation and accounting standards will have on an insurance company’s financial statements balance sheet or you could be revising businesses’ projections and making sure they have adequate reserves.

Your task will be to help our team that:
- provides strategic advice and audit support to our clients in the insurance sector
- is in charge of IFRS 17 implementation projects
- is in charge of “Solvency II” validation projects
- assesses, based on IFRS, the employer’s commitments in terms of employee benefits
- reviews the reports that are prepared under the IFRS for our audit clients
- reviews the calculation of technical provisions of pension funds for which PwC is the auditor
- identifies employee benefits related risks in an M&A context
Qualifications:
- You have an academic degree (or are finishing studies) in mathematics, economics or from another relevant quantitative area
- You’re a team player with a sense of initiative
- You’re fluent in Croatian and in English
- You have strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and execution skills
- You have excellent knowledge of MS Office tools with special emphasis on MS Excel and Access
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
