Position Summary:
We are looking for a colleague to join our team in Zagreb, Croatia as a Cost Manager. On this position you will ensure that offering managers and other stakeholders have a clear understanding of product costs and the elements of those costs including material and manufacturing costs. You will closely collaborate with the Offering Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to position our products below that of our competition to drive reduction in product cost.

What will you do in our team?
- Establish current and actual product cost reporting capability and cadence of review. (continual cost & margin monitoring)
- Perform cost variance reporting. Understand product cost structure, identify and analyze quarterly variances
- Establish product cost comparison among different manufacturing plants internally and externally, including outside purchase and manufacturing options,
- Work with product cross-functional team (notably Offering Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations and Finance) to identify and drive product cost improvement metrics and actions
- Coordinating the identification, reporting, and execution of VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) cost reduction projects and their financial impact
- Reviewing and advising on target product cost as part of NPDI and throughout the lifecycle of the product

Uvjeti

What will make you successful?
- Education: B.S. in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience in product engineering and manufacturing
- Experience: at least 5 years of experience
- Demonstrable experience in Engineering / Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations and working with cross-functional teams to identify and execute on priority actions
- Experience in analyzing and driving improvement in data reporting with Finance and IT systems
- Ability to deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations by creating visual summaries of quantitative cost information. Build and continually improve dashboards to provide insight
- Must have demonstrable skills with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Smartsheet and Power BI experience beneficial
- Experience in a global, multi-cultural environment, & comfortable working autonomously
- Occasional travel domestic or international to Vertiv engineering and manufacturing locations
