We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our growing AI & Machine Learning team!

The job:

The role will be a combination of data science techniques and analysis using SQL, R, Python depending on the type of the project – forecasting, computer vision, or NLP.

Soon after joining, you’ll go through several weeks of training to better understand our applications, team structure, and processes. You’ll also have a chance to dive deeper into the technical aspects of your role so that you can hit the ground running. Through organized on-the-job trainings, some independent research, and free access to thousands of hours of content via Udemy, Pluralsight, and other online platforms, you’ll have the opportunity and support for continuous education and growing your skillset.

After completed training, you’ll be given tasks revolving data science products and solutions for our clients as well as for our internal team and products.

What you’ll learn as a Data Scientist:
- You’ll add a real-life impact to your academic expertise by translating questions from non-technical stakeholders into decisions that can be answered with data
- You’ll be involved in building products alongside the core engineering team and evolve the engineering process to scale with data, handling complex problems and various client situations
- You will use new technologies and tools, along with your problem-solving skills in a multicultural and creative environment
- You will get familiar with best practices in software development and machine learning and get extensive knowledge of cloud computing

Requirements:
- Educational background. You have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or are in the process to get one).
- Amazing technical instinct. You have some programming experience with Python and SQL and are familiar with the principles of software engineering and data analytics. You are excited to try new technologies and develop your technical skills.
- Great data intuition. You are very good at perceiving patterns and know-how to design and interacting with databases, at least from a theoretical approach.
- An analytical mind. Besides having a good understanding of Machine Learning concepts, frameworks, and infrastructure, you are able to extract what is critical to solving the problem, versus what is extraneous and can be ignored.
- Team Spirit. You are highly collaborative and receptive to the needs and responsibilities of others which enables you to successfully work towards a common goal.
- Language skills. Your English is good enough to communicate with clients – we work with U.S. based clients and effective communication in English is a must.
