Senior Wordpress Developer (m/ž)

Job description

As a Senior Wordpress Developer you should have at least 5 years experience in both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on). You should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems.

In this role you will be working closely with members of the Design, Business and DevOps team to build and maintain a variety of products for e-commerce and other purposes.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with additional Content Management Systems and Frameworks so as to be able to contribute to other projects and product planning.

Reports to: Head of Design

Responsibilities:
- Setup and manage production and development wordpress environments
- Create and maintain Wordpress Themes based on design requirements with the help of existing theme builders or from scratch
- Create, troubleshoot and maintain Wordpress plugins
- UI/UX optimization for desktop, tablet and mobile

Requirements

Required Knowledge:
- Wordpress
- Coding in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience working with: WooCommerce, WPML
- Experience configuring Payment Gateways, Social Media and Analytics Plugins
- Backup, Restore and Migration of Wordpress sites

Bonus Knowledge:
- Experience with other content management systems and Frameworks such as CakePHP, Laravel, Yii, Magento, Joomla, Drupal, VueJS, Bootstrap
- Performance Optimization
- Security Hardening
- SEO Optimization
- Caching and Content Delivery Networks (CDN)
