DESCRIPTION

ch-aviation is looking to add an experienced Director of Sales to our already high-performing sales team of five with a growth perspective to become the VP Sales in the near future. The Director of Sales will develop and lead for example our Airport and Aviation Travel Technology target markets selling SaaS to aviation companies. He will also attend Events and Conferences all around the world (not more than 30 days per year).

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Director of Sales will drive overall strategy for these target markets and execute growth demands.

The main function is to timely and accurately research and administer business contacts based on specified target markets and events. This includes administering existing databases, creating trials and proposals for clients, administering renewals and following up on own sales leads.

The role will require a strong Excel background with a solid process/detail oriented mind set, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and ability to work with hard deadlines.

The candidate should have a bachelor degree or similar life experience (people who dropped out of university will be considered as well, if they can properly elaborate that in the motivation letter).

Responsibilities

  • Independently research companies and contacts and administering contact data base
  • Independently research new sales leads for target markets or ahead of industry events
  • Managing sales process generated from own leads
  • Administering sales such as management of trial subscriptions, proposals and subscription renewals
  • Working with accounting department, invoicing and managing accounts receivables
  • Meeting deadlines in execution of all tasks
  • Attending Target market specific conferences and events all around the world (not more than 20 days per year)

Required Skills

  • Excellent command of English language, both oral and written
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, manage own work schedule and time, meeting deadlines
  • Ability to analyze processes to resolve gaps or inefficiencies
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills: accurate insertions to current data bases, efficiently working and managing large data sets
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Optional Skills

  • Work Experience in the Aviation or Travel Industry
  • Previous Sales and Marketing administration experience
  • Previous experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment
  • Previous experience with Pipedrive or similar customer relation management systems

Other requirements:

  • The candidate either is a Croatian national, currently has a residency/work permit for Croatia or is a citizen of a European Union country, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland.
  • Good interpersonal and customer relations skills, ability to work with demanding clients.
