Tasks:

Would you like to live out your passion for procedural and system-related programming in an exciting international environment? We have been developing our own Group ERP system with IBM technologies centred around System i and RPG for over 30 years. We are looking for reinforcement for our cross-location teams, which cover a variety of system modules. Our top priority is the satisfaction of our users, regardless of whether they are accountants, payroll clerks or business people on the construction site.

• You will be responsible for the new and further development of ERP applications in the various modules of the ERP system with a technological focus on IBM RPG and SQL in a modern development environment.
• This includes supporting requirements analyses and developing complex solutions in dynamic project teams.
• You will have the opportunity to build up further knowledge in procedural programming and familiarise yourself with the extremely powerful System i from IBM.
• Many modern technologies such as web and mobile applications, cloud services, AI solutions and messaging systems are connected to the system.
• You share your knowledge with colleagues at code reviews and solution design meetings and are also open to suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Extensive programming expertise and interest in learning new frameworks and technologies, preferably in the backend area
• Technical education in the field of IT or comparable professional experience in the field of software development
• Profound knowledge of programming, preferably in a procedural programming language
• Proficiency in the basic functions of SQL
• Communication skills and willingness to work in a team as well as a proactive and solution-orientated way of working
• At least fluent in written and spoken English, good knowledge of German would be a plus
