Site Engineer - Data Center Solutions (m/f)

We are looking for a Site Engineer to help us grow our Data Center Solutions Team in Zagreb, Croatia. You will be responsible for Data Center infrastructure installation, maintenance, and optimization, ensuring seamless functionality and customer satisfaction.

Main tasks:
- monitor and lead the installation and system integration of data center infrastructure within various types of data centers at Delta facilities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards while prioritizing health and safety within the site / facility
- collaborate with project teams to coordinate on-site activities during commissioning, including equipment setup, testing, and integration
- conduct on-site inspections and quality assurance checks to verify the proper installation and functionality of data center components
- troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during infrastructure installation and commissioning, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines
- provide technical expertise and guidance to on-site personnel, contractors, and vendors involved in the installation and commissioning process
- implement effective warehouse management practices to ensure timely delivery and storage of materials and equipment required for data center installation and commissioning
- document installation procedures, equipment configurations, and test results to maintain accurate records and support future maintenance and troubleshooting efforts
- communicate regularly with project manager and engineering team to provide updates on installation progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives
- collaborate with design teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization of installation procedures
- nature of work would require both presence on site (remote facilities), as well as in our central design office (estimation is 60 % of the time working on site)

Uvjeti

Qualifications:
- bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical / civil engineering
- minimum 3 years in similar positions in production environment and managing teams
- strong understanding of data center design principles and methodologies
- proficiency in technical aspects encompassing drawings, materials, machining, and assembly methods
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for effectively managing facility operations
- experience with critical electrical and mechanical equipment: UPS, batteries, busways, switchboards, cooling systems
- knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data center design and construction
- excellent knowledge of CAD Software, and MS Office applications
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- very good oral and written communication skills in English Language

- experience in managing client expectations, addressing feedback, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner, while also serving as a key liaison between the integration process and the design team
- excellent time management skills
- high self-motivation
- flexibility and enthusiasm for working both in-office and on-site / within facility environment
