Legal Counsel (m/f)

In a newly created full-time permanent role, D.TRADING is looking for a Legal Counsel (Compliance) to support our growth in the region.

Located in the Sky Office Tower in Zagreb, you will enjoy modern facilities and be surrounded by a driven team.

Responsibilities:
- Implementation of a regulatory compliance system
- Participation in the implementation of a market compliance system (antitrust, REMIT, EMIR, MiFID II, FinFraG) in an energy trading holding
- Development and implementation of processes designed fulfilment regulatory requirements
- Analysis and evaluation of the company's activities, risks identification and mitigation
- Analysis of the wholesale energy markets in Europe
- Analysis and preparation of proposals for draft laws, draft regulations of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission
- Maintenance of market entry procedures, obtaining licenses and conclusion of relevant contracts
- Advising on legal issues related to the company's operational activities, including on licensing issues, regulatory obligations in Ukraine and abroad - REMIT/EMIR/MIFID II related matters
- Drafting, revision, and approval of financial contracts and internal regulations
- Monitoring of legislative changes and analysis of relevant court practice

Uvjeti

Qualifications:
- Degree in Law or another relevant degree
- At least 3 years of experience as legal counsel

Skills and knowledge:
- Professional level of English
- Experience in preparing internal documents (policies, procedures, instructions and other corporate documentation) in English
- Experience in structuring and supporting financial transactions

Would be an advantage:
- Participation in the development of draft laws in the fields of banking, financial, energy, competition law
- Working experience in law firms in the practice of compliance/B&F/energy/competition law
